Prism - dynamic analysis of rotors, structural frames and shaft trains. Models can be statically or harmonically excited via loads and support points. View animated solutions as graphs or color-scaled neutral axes. Solutions include deflections, reactions, stresses, frequency response, station orbits and more. Models can be damped or undamped. Eight standard cross sections types (H, C, L, T, rectangular and round bars and tubing) plus custom cross section designer. A library of US standard structural sections is included. Stepped and tapered shaft profiles are easily defined Models can include unbalanced disks and linearized journal bearings. Loads can be applied anywhere on a beam or shaft – a new station (node) will automatically be generated.
